The selection of the medical specialists from India who have applied for the positions in Fiji will be carried out after a stringent selection process.
This has been highlighted by the Minister for Health and Medical Services Rosy Akbar who is in India with a team to conduct the interviews for the recruitment of medical specialists.
She says applications are open for the next six months and they are still receiving applications.
Akbar says they are looking to recruit nephrologists and doctors who specialise in diabetes treatment because of high incidence of diabetes cases.
