Search to continue for others who may have been in vehicle which veered off the road in Kasavu

Police special response divers will continue the search this morning for others who may have been in a vehicle which veered off the road and landed in a river in Kasavu in Tailevu.

Chief of Operations, ACP Maretino Qiolevu has confirmed that the private vehicle registration JH 227 was located yesterday.

Police special response divers yesterday recovered the body of a 25 year old man from Baulevu, Nausori and investigators are still gathering information to determine if the victim was traveling alone.

Qiolevu says police had to call off the search yesterday afternoon due to poor visibility. 

According to Police, an eyewitness said he heard what sounded like a car crashing early yesterday and when he looked out he saw the headlights of a car sinking.
