The search for the 3 year old boy who went missing while playing near the Sigatoka River on Sunday will resume this morning.
Police say a joint search conducted yesterday by Police, National Fire Authority and six divers from the Hideaway Resort was called off at 7pm with negative results.
Police say the victim had accompanied his father and two relatives out fishing when he went missing.
In a separate alleged drowning case, the body of a 19yr-old student was recovered from the Vunicuicui River on Saturday.
Police say the victim was allegedly trying to cross the river with friends when he disappeared.
In a third reported case of drowning, a 6yr-old student who was last seen swimming in the Labasa River near Nacula Village was found motionless last Friday.
Police say the victim was last seen swimming with her two elder brothers when she disappeared.
The drowning toll stands at 26 compared to 21 for the same period last year.
