Schools to send in funds for TC Pam victims by this afternoon

Secondary and Primary Schools around the country are expected to send in funds that they were able to raise for Tropical Cyclone Pam victims in Vanuatu during Mufti day on the 2nd of this month by this afternoon.

Ministry of Education said that once all the funds are received by the officials at the Headquarters in Suva, the Ministry will then finalize the total money raised as early as next week.

The Ministry also added that students and teachers were also encouraged to donate items that they feel can be of great need to the victims.       

Funds and items collected will be handed over to the Vanuatu High Commission in Fiji.
