The Sanatan Convention is all about guiding our people to the right path through the right teachings and interpretations of our religion and culture.
This has been highlighted by Shree Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji National President, Sarju Prasad as the Sabha is preparing for its one of the biggest events the Sanatan Convention this week.
Prasad says that it is seen that a lot of people misuse religion and under its cover they do a lot of bad things.
Prasad highlights that with the theme ‘ Promoting Good Will and Harmony through Religion’ they will also focus on teachings on how to promote unity amongst all Fijians in this country.
He adds that they will talk about ways of bringing youths of Fiji together so that they become good citizens and our future leaders.
He also highlights that the committee will have discussions on constructing Hindu funeral rites facilities in other divisions near by sea where Hindus will be able to dispose ashes of their loved ones in easily.
Meanwhile the Sanatan Convention starts this Thursday but the official opening will be held on Friday with sports and various cultural items.
Indian High Commissioner to Fiji, Vishwas Sapkal will be the chief guest.
The Sanatan Convention will be held at Korovuto College, Nadi.
