Samoa’s Prime Minister is to get beefed up security after a attack on him in Brisbane.
Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi was speaking at the launch of Samoa Airways new Australia route when two men started shouting abuse in Samoan and threw an uncooked pig's head at him.
While the pig's head fell short, officials moved quickly to protect the Prime Minister, who continued with his speech.
Witnesses say the two men were dressed “ninja style”.
Tuilaepa, who is in good spirits, left Brisbane for the APEC meeting in Papua New Guinea this morning.
En route back to Samoa in a few days time, the Prime Minister will get security from Australia and New Zealand police when he passes through, along with two Samoan officers who are being sent to meet him.
