Shawn Sagar who is a graduate of a degree program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering will now be able to further pursue his dreams after Guandong Silk Road Ark Investment Company has provided him with a six month scholarship to study in China.
Sagar who is from Nausori is enrolled in the International Vocational Chinese program says his four and a half years of dedication and study at the University of the South Pacific has paid off.
He says this scholarship will be offering him a wider view of what the future has destined for him.
Sagar says his parents were his motivation as they always encouraged him do what is right.
The CEO of Guandong Silk Road Ark Investment Company Li Haolin says he was delighted to see more Fijian students take up the opportunities to study in China and learn the Chinese language which is increasingly becoming an important language in international trade and commerce.
Li says they will provide financial assistance to this student within his study period and also offer him a job opportunity once he finishes his study in China.
22-year-old Shawn Sagar will be leaving for China this Saturday.
