Fiji Roads Authority Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Moore stresses that the safety of his workers is more important than delaying their works.
Moore highlighted this in an interview with Fijivillage saying that some motorists are posing threats to their workers who are working tirelessly on constructing the four lane road between Nakasi to the Rewa Bridge.
Moore says that more often there have been cases where drivers are slamming carelessly on the road within metres from their employees.
He says their workers are saying that they will not work under that condition.
The FRA CEO adds neither he nor his workers expect to work under those condition.
Moore says that he will pull his workers out first even if it will cause disruption or delay saying that he will not mind as the safety of his workers is paramount.
Work along Nakasi to the Rewa Bridge is expected to be completed by June.
