The SODELPA office is refuting reports that their Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa voted for Anare Jale during the election of the SODELPA President at the AGM over the weekend.
SODELPA says there were two capable nominees, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu and Anare Jale.
Ratu Naiqama was elected President of the party after he got majority of the votes.
Principal Administrative Officer of the Opposition Office, Mick Beddoes says Ro Teimumu did not vote for both candidates.
Beddoes says some people are trying to create divisions that do not exist in SODELPA.
He says it was a straight forward replacement of their President.
Ratu Naiqama replaced Ratu Silivenusi Waqausa as Party President.
Ratu Naiqama was not present in the meeting.
