The leader of the Social Democratic and Liberal Party is calling on the people of Fiji to unite, put politics aside, stop what we are doing for the moment and pray for the safe deliverance for our 43 soldiers who are held captive on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights.
Ro Teimumu Kepa said under these worrying circumstances SODELPA’s thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of the 43 peacekeepers of the RFMF.
She said they are the children of Fiji and they are our family.
Ro Teimumu said we should also pray for their families and loved ones.
She intends to call the Commander of the RFMF to express directly to him the concerns and support for efforts by the UN to resolve this crisis.
Ro Teimumu is currently attending the Catholic Women’s League Conference in Solevu, Bua.
She has also asked them to join all concerned citizens of Fiji in praying for the speedy and safe release of the 43 Fijian soldiers.
