SODELPA and PDP to bring back previous scholarship schemes if elected

Social Democratic Liberal Party candidate Dr Tupeni Baba said they will reinstate ethnic based scholarships and will also have the toppers scheme continuing if SODELPA forms the next government.

While speaking on our special general elections talkback “Straight Talk” last night with our News Director Vijay Narayan, Dr Baba also said that there will be only one scholarship committee that will oversee the whole scholarship process.

The second guest on “Straight Talk” last night, People’s Democratic Party President Lynda Tabuya, also stated that PDP will bring back the scholarships that were given before.

However, Tabuya said the criteria and requirements to get a scholarship in all the scholarship schemes need to change.

Join our News Director Vijay Narayan on our special general elections talkback “Straight Talk” from 7 next Monday on our sister stations Viti FM and Radio Sargam.

Our guests on the show will be representatives from the Social Democratic Liberal Party and the National Federation Party.

You can also ask the party representatives questions on issues that matter to you as we approach the September 17th general elections.

We will also have live video streaming of the talkback right here.
