The leader of Opposition Ro Teimumu Kepa has announced the passing of SODELPA Parliamentarian Ratu Sela Nanovo.
Ro Teimumu highlighted that Nanovo who was a Chief of Nacolase in Kadavu, passed away in Suva yesterday, and funeral arrangements are currently underway.
Nanovo spent 25 years with the Fiji Development Bank and was also the Chief Executive Officer of the Lami Town Council before he joined Parliament.
As a chief and businessman, Nanovo served as a member of the Kadavu Provincial Council and Kadavu Provincial Development Board.
Nanovo is survived by four children and four grandchildren.
Ro Teimumu has also informed the Speaker, Doctor Jiko Luveni about Ratu Sela Nanovo’s passing.
According to the constitution, the next SODELPA candidate will take up the vacant parliamentary seat.
The next candidate is former Finance Minister Ratu Jone Kubuabola.
Nanovo will be laid to rest next week Tuesday.
