Suva Market Vendors will return to a much cleaner environment after their Easter holidays, all thanks to the 30 Suva City Council cleaners who are carrying out their Easter Holiday General cleanup at the Suva Market, Bus-stand and surrounding facilities.
The clean-up team has been working tirelessly since early this morning, water blasting, spraying pesticides and fixing some damaged facilities at the Suva market.
Team Leader, Salesh Kumar told FijiVillage that while they know the importance of family time during this holiday, the team is happy to be at work.
He says that for them cleanliness is a big part of celebrating Easter.
All mini-market stalls were cleared out and tables washed as they also fumigated in and around the market vicinity.
The Suva City Council staff carried out cleaning from the yaqona stalls on the second floor of the Suva Market to the vegetable area and the food stalls and shops along Rodwell Road by the Suva Market, the bus stand and the public convenience at the Suva market.
