The Suva City Council is sending out a stern warning to all motorists to keep Extension Street in Suva clear.
This is after concerns were raised about ambulances and other vehicles finding it difficult to navigate through Extension Street because of illegally parked vehicles.
Fijivillage has seen a lot of cars parked along yellow lines and on footpaths along the Extension Street in Suva.
We have also noticed that the amount of cars being parked illegally increases during visiting hours.
The Suva City Council has stated that they understand that people wish to visit new born babies or relatives that are in the hospital however, they will continue to book people as these cars come in the way of the ambulance.
The Council has said that they are not the only authorities who fine drivers that park illegally.
The maximum fine for illegal parking is $200.
