Rozleen Razia Khan who killed her 4-year-old daughter last year will be sentenced today by Suva High Court Judge, Justice Vinsent Perera.
She was found guilty of one count of murder.
Khan tied herself up with her daughter and drove their car off the road into Rewa River on the 6th of May last year.
The defence counsel asked the court that a minimum term should not be imposed so that Khan can appeal to the Mercy Commission.
Prosecution lawyer, Shirley Tivao has asked that a minimum term be imposed adding that Khan can apply for pardon at any time.
The mandatory sentence for murder is life imprisonment.
She will be sentenced at 2.30 this afternoon.
