The lawyer of a woman accused of killing her daughter last year has told the Suva High Court that they intend to write to the Director of Public Prosecutions to reduce the charge from murder to manslaughter.
Rozleen Razia Khan allegedly tied herself up with her 4-year-old daughter and drove their car off the road into Rewa River on the 6th May last year.
Khan’s husband had alleged that she had called him while driving with their daughter saying that she will take both their lives.
Defence lawyer Gavin O’Driscoll says they will be making a submission in a week or so.
The matter has been adjourned to 21st February.
