Aspiring politician Roshika Deo is finding difficulty in collecting signatures due to some challenges.

According to the Political Parties Decree, a proposed independent candidate like Deo will have to collect 1,000 signatures.

Deo said she is facing some hardships.

She claimed that she went to Taveuni to collect signatures and was informed that the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority officers took about 200 voter registration cards in April.

She added most of these people wanted to sign up for her.

Deo revealed that she has collected close to 1,000 signatures.

Meanwhile, questions were sent to FRCA yesterday about Roshika Deo’s claims and they are yet to respond.
