Roses are in high demand as people have been lining up at flower shops from as early as 7am today to mark Valentine's Day.
Tadra Flowers Suva branch Manager, Atelaite Kada says they were busy meeting orders for Valentine's Day since Thursday.
She says most orders were for imported roses and assorted gifts.
Kada says orders were flowing in since last week for bouquets and they were also delivering roses and gifts to their customers.
She says imported roses from New Zealand are very popular in Fiji.
Tadra Flowers imported 2,000 roses from New Zealand to cater for the demand at their shops in Suva and Nadi.
And while many are planning to spend the day with their partners, a florist says Valentine's Day is not only for lovers, but a day to show a family member or a friend how much they love and appreciate them.
The owner of Flowerme Floristry, June White says hundreds of people bought flowers, teddy bears and heart cushions from her shop in Suva.
