Roko Tui’s from around the country have been reminded of the importance of improving service delivery by transforming communities and mitigating risks.
This was highlighted by Acting Permanent Secretary Ministry of iTaukei Affairs Saimoni Waibuta while officiating at the Roko Tui Workshop in Nadave.
Waibuta highlighted the need to focus on government's national development plans and to zero them down to the iTaukei Affairs Board’s strategic plan.
He also reminded the Roko Tui's that the well‑being of all staff in their provincial offices is paramount, as they all contribute to the achievement of the strategic plan.
The Acting Permanent Secretary also elaborated that constant planning and evaluating does not eliminate risks but it helps everyone gain a better understanding of the parameters involved in their decisions.
The Roko Tui’s were reminded of the need to work smarter and consider relevant outcomes and realistic targets, standardising reporting formats and adding value to the iTaukei Affairs Board products and services.
The three day workshop will conclude tomorrow.
