A week-long meeting has been organised by the iTaukei Affairs Board at Nadave for all Roko Tui’s of the 14 provinces to meet with the iTaukei Affairs Management and discuss their ongoing 2016‑2017 Annual Business Plan and other programs.
Principal Assistant Secretary for iTaukei Affairs, Josefa Toganivalu says this is a planning workshop where they will identify the gaps in their services.
Toganivalu says they are trying to strengthen programs so that they can effectively deliver services to the iTaukei communities.
He says they have programs such as the village by-laws consultations, the revitalization of culture and other proposed programs.
The quarterly meeting of the Roko Tui’s started yesterday and will end this Friday.
