Roads in Navua are currently going through a major upgrade carried out by Fulton Hogan Hiways.
Fulton Hogan’s Operations Manager Phil Tombs says that the enabling works along Navua’s Naitonitoni road have commenced.
He says the works cover 1.8km and starts at the overhead bridge on the Queens Road through to Naitonitoni road.
Tombs says they will overlay and seal the first section, which is about 600 meters long and all through town.
He says damaged culverts are being replaced, footpaths levelled out, and street lights will be installed where necessary.
Tombs says the expectation of Navua being officially declared a town, FRA is ensuring that the surrounding road access to and through the township including ancillary works, are upgraded.
