The road fatalities on our roads this year has been a major concern for the Land Transport Authority.
LTA Chief Executive Officer Naisa Tuinaceva confirmed that the road fatalities at the moment stands at 34 compared to 26 for the same period last year.
Tuinaceva added controlling the increase of road fatalities will come down to the attitude of the members of the public on how they are using the roads.
He said the LTA will continue to create more awareness.
Tuinaceva said they will continue to monitor that road safety rules are followed by drivers and pedestrians by having more LTA officers on the road.
