Road closure in the Central and Western divisions due to flooding

There are new road closures in the Central and Western divisions this afternoon due to flash flooding.

Sawani Serea Road and Waidracia crossing is flooded and closed to all traffic.

Nasavu Village Road along Sawani Serea Road is also closed.

In the Western division, Savusavu Crossing in Nadi,

Matewale Crossing on Valley Road and Katudrau Road are closed.

Meanwhile, Waidra Bridge along Baulevu Road in Nausori will be closed for maintenance work from 8 tonight until 6am tomorrow.

During this time, access will be prohibited across the bridge  and there will be no detours posted.

Works will include removing and replacing of damaged nailing strip, transverse planks and damaged running boards.
