A petition calling for the development of proper access roads for several villages in Rewa was presented in parliament today.
This petition was signed by 842 people from Nasali, Vutia and nearby villages.
While presenting the petition, Opposition leader, Ro Teimumu Kepa says these people need a new access road as transportation by boat is not enough and this has hindered economic activity.
Speaker of Parliament Doctor Jiko Luveni has referred the petition to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Affairs.
