SODELPA MP Ro Teimumu Kepa said that she did not meet the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Ioane Naivalurua after the royal couple departed Nadi however she later said that she does remember meeting them after the function in Nadi when Fijivillage showed a photo to her.

Fijivillage sought Ro Teimumu’s comments after the comments made by the Prime Minister that Ro Teimumu Kepa had thanked him and the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and showed her appreciation towards the ceremony for the royal couple which was also confirmed by the Permanent Secretary.

Ro Teimumu denied this at first saying she had not met the Prime Minister at all.

Fijivillage then questioned Ro Teimumu on the comments that the Prime Minister had made about her showing her appreciation towards the ceremony and played the audio of the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ioane Naivalurua confirming what the Prime Minister had said. We also showed her the photo of her and the Prime Minister in Nadi, with Naivalurua in the background.

She says the traditional ceremony in Suva was done by the people of Vuda and that is where the concern came from her in that the three confederacies and the chiefs from those confederacies were not mentioned.

Ro Teimumu then said that she had only meant that the ceremony in Nadi was well done when she spoke to Bainimarama and Naivalurua.

Meanwhile Ro Teimumu has taken to social media on the comments made by the Prime Minister where he has said that there is more than one snake in the SODELPA camp and that she is evil.

Ro Teimumu says she pleads guilty to being a flawed human being and a sinner who must constantly seek forgiveness.

She says the Prime Minister making the assumption that she was the same as the prince of darkness, or being from a reptilian family shows what he truly is.

Ro Teimumu has also posted that she stands by the truth of what she said about this fundamental issue and the serious issue of indigenous rights.

Earlier story:

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says SODELPA parliamentarian Ro Teimumu Kepa is misleading people by saying that he had directed the people conducting the traditional welcome ceremony for the royal couple to omit the three confederacies.

He says this is evil.

In an interview with Fijivillage, Bainimarama says Ro Teimumu made this comment to win votes in the recent general elections and he says the misleading comments have continued when Ro Teimumu spoke in parliament earlier this week.

Ro Teimumu said in parliament that the omission of the three confederacies came from the top.

However Prime Minister Bainimarama says Ro Teimumu said something else when the royal couple departed Nadi.

He says Ro Teimumu had actually thanked him and Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Ioane Naivalurua.

Bainimarama says he remembers the 14 provinces were mentioned during the traditional welcome ceremony.

He says even the people of Vuda were not spared as this was an attempt to get votes for the elections.

Bainimarama then said that Ro Teimumu is disappointed because she cannot become the President, which he says was part of SODELPA’s plan if they would have won the general elections.
