More than 2,000 residents of Vishnu Deo Road in Nakasi and other motorists will be able to have access to good roads as the rehabilitation work is currently being carried out.
Fulton Hogan Highways is working on the 170‑metre section of the roads.
Fulton Hogan Highways Stabilizing Supervisor, Inia Hughes says this section of the road had succumbed to the elements producing numerous deep potholes that were impossible to avoid.
Hughes highlights that they have cleaned the drains and will be doing cement stabilisation on the eight‑meter wide road which will bring some comfort to motorists.
Vishnu Deo Road is three kilometres long and services one primary school and two secondary schools.
