Concerns are being raised as people living in areas in Nausori have not received piped water supply since last Saturday.
Sharin Dutt who lives in Lakena Hill Number 1 says that they have not had water following the planned shutdown over the weekend.
Dutt says they had stored water for the planned shutdown to last them till Monday.
She says following that, she has been unable to collect enough water through water trucks.
Dutt says that the trucks only come to cart water in their areas when they call the Water Authority several times.
Another resident of Nausori who lives in Verata has shared similar sentiments.
Nalini Lata says they had muddy water last night.
Meanwhile the Water Authority of Fiji says that people living along Nausori Town to Bau Island and Kiuva Village will be experiencing disruptions in their water supply from today to Sunday.
The Authority says that after the completion of the proposed works at the Waila Water Treatment Plant, they had conducted some more works on the plant.
They say that areas such as Lakena Hill 1 and 2, Buiduna, Korociriciri, Nausori Town Area, Baulevu, Davuilevu, and Noco in Rewa will experience low water pressure during off peak hours which are from 12am to 4am.
The Authority is requesting members of the public to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs.
