Repairs and maintenance projects for FNU campuses in 2018 is underway.
The Fiji National University has received $8 million for repairs and maintenance this year compared to $4 million last year.
FNU Chancellor Iqbal Janiff says the repairs and maintenance work will include regular maintenance, roof repairs, internal works, painting, fixing of windows and upgrading of all Colleges to cyclone certification.
Janiff adds that the government has allocated $500,000 to get a survey and environmental assessment done for the College of Business in Nasinu.
Janiff highlighted that a capital expenditure budget has been given to FNU by the government which will see major development that will include the construction of a new $6 million Labasa campus.
