One of the remand prisoners who had escaped from lawful custody and had later turned himself in will take his plea on the 17th of this month.
Niko Talemaitoga was one of the five people who had escaped from the Suva Courthouse cell block last Tuesday.
Talemaitoga is charged with one count of impersonation and one count of escape from lawful custody.
It is alleged that on the 27th of last month Talemaitoga had falsely represented himself as Samisoni Lele Bilolevu who was a remand prisoner who had been granted bail.
It is alleged he had identified himself as Bilolevu and an officer had released him on the 27th of last month in good faith thinking he was Bilolevu.
Talemaitoga had called the Nabua Police Station yesterday and surrendered himself.
He has been remanded in custody and will take his plea on the 17th of this month.
