Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy said many reforms are taking place in the Ministry of Education to affirm the best educational services to the children of Fiji.
While speaking at the opening of a new classroom block at Vatuvonu Seventh Day Adventist College in Cakaudrove today, Reddy highlighted that they have reduced the workload of teachers and they have also reintroduced exams to ensure that Fiji has a credible assessment system for the children.
He also acknowledged the collaborative effort of the Vatuvonu community especially the Seventh Day Adventist Church for the vision to establish a school to provide educational opportunities.
Reddy also stressed that his Ministry will continue to assist in the development of schools nationwide.
This new classroom block is part of Ministry’s Educational Disadvantage Areas Index which upgrades schools nationwide to the required standard.
