27‑year‑old Deepshika Reddy was very emotional as she received her Bachelor of Nursing from the TISI Sangam School of Nursing.
Reddy says she wished her father was still alive to see her graduate because it was her father's dream for her to become a Nurse.
Reddy stated that the long drive from Nadi to Suva has been a challenge, but thanks to the support from family and her husband was one thing that kept her going.
She says getting a Bachelor's degree was challenging because of pregnancy which she adds gave her the motivation to keep moving forward.
Reddy urges young people to be pursue higher qualifications because nowadays education is the key to success.
Reddy is part of the 61 health workers who graduated with their Bachelors of Nursing Science and Postgraduate Diploma of Midwifery from TISI Sangam College of Nursing and Healthcare Education
