Army Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto says there have been recommendations made for disciplinary action to be taken against the officers involved in the sinking of the Fiji Navy vessel, RFNS Kiro.
When asked by Public Accounts Committee member, Aseri Radrodro on the progress of investigations of the Kiro, Naupoto said the money that was allocated for the life extension of the Kiro was not used.
Naupoto says when these ships have reached their life span, they will undergo repairs to make them work for another few years.
He says they have had a board of inquiry and there are recommendations that they will have to implement with regards to the operational and technical aspects of the Fiji Navy.
