Raceva not guilty of murder of her new born baby but guilty of infanticide - Justice Temo

High Court Judge, Justice Salesi Temo has found 40-year-old Tavenisa Raceva not guilty of the murder of her new born baby but guilty of infanticide.

Justice Temo has overturned the assessors opinion who had found her guilty of murder.

Raceva suffocated her new born baby on the 9th of March, 2017.

While giving his judgement, Justice Temo said that Raceva had admitted to suffocating her baby.

He says that when she committed the offence, her balance of mind was not correct.

He will sentence the woman tomorrow.
