SODELPA Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka

SODELPA Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka has stated in his official facebook page that SODELPA members should gather for the Annual Meet in Savusavu, and acknowledge the leadership of Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu who has stepped down as Party President.

Rabuka says the Management Board chose Cakaudrove as the venue for the 2019 AGM in response to a request from the former Party President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, that his final AGM as President be held in Cakaudrove.

The Party President tendered his resignation from the position he has held since 2015.

Rabuka says the general assembly meeting in Savusavu will give party members in the Northern Division the opportunity to meet Members of Parliament and party officials, to raise their issues and have their say, just as members from the Central and Western  Divisions have been given that opportunity at the nine General Meetings convened since SODELPA was registered.

Rabuka says Ratu Naiqama has been a visionary leader at the helm of the party since 2015 when he was appointed.

He says since then, Ratu Naiqama led party fundraising efforts for the 2018 election campaign.

He says Ratu Naiqama also spearheaded the changes that brought more transparency to the party and guided the party's 2018 campaign where SODELPA won 6 seats from FijiFirst.
