Students of Ratu Kadavulevu School have been urged to prepare well for the next academic year during the upcoming school holidays.
Speaking at the RKS prize giving day in Lodoni, Tailevu, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Pio Tikoduadua said education in Fiji is going through exciting times because Government has taken care of most of the educational needs through various assistance programmes.
Tikoduadua wished the Year 13 students a successful journey in life as they go out into the world to build their career.
Year 13 student, Katarake Taievo, who received the Dux award, said it was a privilege to be recognised for his hard work during the year.
The Rabi student plans to pursue further studies at the Fiji National University to become a civil engineer.
Meanwhile Jemesa Uluibau, also a Year 13 student, received the prize for scoring the highest mark in the Fiji School Leaving Certificate examination last year.
Close to 200 students from Year 9 - Year 13 and vocational studies were awarded for excellence in academic performance this year.
RKS has a roll of more than 700 students.
