RFMF officers clean and plant in the yards at the Golden Age Home

Officers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces based in Lautoka did some cleaning and planting in the yards at the Golden Age Home in Lautoka.

About twenty military personnel did the work and the involvement of the RFMF in activities as such was received well by the senior citizens, as it made them feel remembered by other members of the community.

Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Mereseini Vuniwaqa applauded the RFMF for their commitment and dedication to the senior citizens of the society.

Vuniwaqa says that the military engineers having done this for the Home have been a great help to the facility staff and the Ministry is thankful to them.

Vuniwaqa also stated that the garden is a good initiative to provide the residents of the Home with subsistence crops which will be organic and healthy for the residents.
