Questions are now being raised by the guardian of a 15-year-old student who is missing for two weeks on how he was released from school without their knowledge.
Inoke Yanuyanutawa who is a student of Ratu Kadavulevu School has been missing for two weeks now.
His guardian, Mela Tibika said she saw Yanuyanutawa on a weekend out from school when he came home and he was excited to go back to school.
According to Tibika they were made aware of Yanuyanutawa’s absence during a routine roll call.
Tibika claims that Yanuyanutawa got sick when he went back to school and the clinic nurse had provided a release for him to go home.
She said they have been receiving calls from the Suva Korovou corridor where Yanuyanutawa was last seen.
Tibika said the school is also assisting them in their search.
Police confirm a report was lodged by the school principal after it was discovered that Yanuyanutawa has not attended classes for the past two weeks.
