The Commissioner of Police, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has welcomed a meeting with key representatives from Fiji’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex community.
While speaking at the Speaker’s debate on violence against women and girls last night, Qiliho also welcomed the idea of having a meeting on addressing violence against transwomen.
He said the Police force is here to serve all Fijians irrespective of their race, gender or ethnicity.
Sulique Waqa of the Haus of Khameleon initiated the idea through a question to the Police Commissioner.
