The prosecution in the Josua Colanaudolu rape and murder trial today played a reconstruction of crime scene video in relation to the rape and murder of the 14-year-old girl in Deuba in March last year.
In the video, Colanaudolu is seen describing what had happened.
He is seen telling the Police where he met the girl, how he attacked her and how he carried her across the road to the beach where he raped her.
Detective Sergeant Sakiusa Jitoko told the court that during the reconstruction of the scene, no one threatened Colanaudolu.
The second prosecution witness today, Detective Inspector Simione Ravouvou told the court that they went to Colanaudolu’s house to arrest him.
He said that they informed him of the reason of his arrest and they were going to search his residence in Vunibuabua settlement.
Ravouvou said that while the search was being conducted, Colanaudolu who was handcuffed, was accompanying the officers in the house.
He said that once the search was completed, they escorted him to the Pacific Harbour Community Post.
Ravouvou told the court that the only form of communication with Colanaudolu was that they introduced themselves to him.
He said at the community post, Colanaudolu was handed over to the Crime Inspector Navua.
Ravouvou said that Colanaudolu was not assaulted in the process.
39-year-old security officer, Josua Colanaudolu is facing one count of murder, 6 counts of rape, 4 counts of abduction and one count of indecently annoying a female.
The charges include the case where Colanaudolu allegedly abducted, raped and murdered a 14-year-old girl in Deuba in March last year.
The trial continues before Justice Salesi Temo.
