Prison officers to assist in reducing number of re-offenders

“There is a need for prison officers to assist the Rehabilitation Unit in reducing the number of re-offenders”

This was highlighted by Deputy Commissioner of Corrections- Superintendent Akuila Namakadre at the six- weeks junior Subordinate Officers  Promotion Course training.

Namakadre said all officers must contribute positive attitude so that they can improve in their respective work performance.

He added now is the time to focus on their performance and show commitment in every work they do.

Namakadre also highlighted to officers to learn respective work that they are doing at every workplaces in a more better, correct, organized and structured way of doing things right especially at the operational level.  

Thirty officers from Corrections institutions around the country are currently undergoing the training.
