The printing of ballot papers for the 2018 general elections has started at Star Printery in Raiwaqa yesterday and Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says 764,850 ballot papers will be printed.
He says Fiji Police Force will be providing complete security for the production and they will have at any point in time minimum of 50 police officers around the printing facility.
He says party officials are entitled to observe the printing process of ballot papers.
Saneem says they are hoping to start dispatching of postal ballots as early as today.
