The Ministry of Education has urged school principals to carefully plan and build responsible staff that will enable the management of the school system and demand for change.
Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy says the quality of leadership in Fiji’s learning institutions plays a major role in the performance of students.
He says principals should always set a critical level of expectation for their teaching staff and can motivate and inspire teachers to perform to the best of their abilities.
Reddy has also highlighted the need for teachers to have good delivery skills in the classroom.
He says quality education is not possible without quality teaching.
