Prince Harry and Meghan to spend 3 days in Fiji from Tuesday to Thursday as part of official visit to Fiji

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will spend three days in Fiji from Tuesday to Thursday as part of an official visit to Fiji.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to arrive at Nausori Airport at 4.30pm next Tuesday and they will be accorded a Guard of Honour at Nausori Airport.

People can catch a glimpse of the Royal Couple as they will travel from Nausori Airport to Suva. They will then call on the President, Jioji Konrote at Borron House.

The Royal Couple will then travel from Borron House to Albert Park to attend an official traditional welcome ceremony that will begin at around 5.55pm Tuesday.

Prince Harry will then make his first address in Fiji at Grand Pacific Hotel at the State Reception and Dinner for the Royal Couple that begins at 7pm.

On Wednesday Prince Harry will lay a wreath at the War Memorial, and meet a number of Fijian war veterans, some of whom served with the British Armed Forces.

Students and Staff of the University of the South Pacific Laucala Campus will also have a chance to meet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as Prince Harry will speak in his capacity as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador and Meghan Markle will also say a few words.

At 11.30am next Wednesday the Duke will travel to Colo i Suva Forest Park and the Duchess to the British High Commissioner’s Residence before taking a tour of the Suva Market.

On Thursday, the Duke and Duchess will travel to Nadi where they will attend a special event and also officiate at the unveiling of the new statue commemorating Sergeant Talaiasi Labalaba at Nadi International Airport.

A Fijian hero in the Special Air Service (SAS) a special forces unit of the British Army, Talaiasi Labalaba will be honoured with a statue in Nadi, for his bravery in the Battle of Mirbat in 1972.  

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will then travel to Tonga and will be met by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Tonga, Angelika Latu‑fui‑peka.
