Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle will spend two days in Fiji towards the end of October.
In a statement, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says the precise dates of the visit have yet to be announced but it will be after the Invictus Games in Australia.
The Invictus Games are from the 20th to the 27th of October.
He says Prince Harry and Princess Meghan have captured the hearts of the Fijian people and they look forward to warmly welcoming them and showing them our special brand of Fijian hospitality.
Bainimarama says the details of their program in Fiji will be announced in due course.
The Prime Minister says he is sure that their engagements will reflect Prince Harry’s keen interest in the welfare of young people and his dedication to the preservation of the environment and Princess Meghan’s interest in the empowerment of women and girls.
Bainimarama says having met His Royal Highness he knows that he has a keen interest in Fijian rugby and a particular affinity for our servicemen and women, having served alongside some of them in the British Army during his two tours of Afghanistan.
