[Photo: Fijian Government/Facebook] Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama delivers his remarks at the inauguration of the children's heart screening within the Sanjeevani Medical Centre in Suva today.

Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama says that he was heartbroken to hear that the lives of two children were lost due to the weekend’s extreme weather.

While officiating at the first ever South Pacific Children’s Heart Screening Centre by the Sai Prema Organisation, Bainimarama urged all Fijians to adhere carefully to the advice from authorities as torrential rain and flooding continues to be faced in communities across the country.

He also says that we must all take special care to ensure that children and the elderly are kept as far away as possible from flooded areas and out of harm’s way.
