The President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau has sent out a message to the Nasinu Town Council to be wise in allowing International School Suva to develop the land beside the school for a proper playground and a track and field area for its students and people living in the area.
Ratu Epeli visited the school at Laucala Beach this morning and had discussions with Principal, Anna Marsden regarding the need for extra space in school.
After touring the new building extension area in the school, Ratu Epeli said that International School Suva has set a bench mark for all the schools in Fiji in terms of making use of the limited space they have.
Principal Marsden said they have been requesting the Nasinu Town Council to allow the development of the land beside the school which can also be used by the members of the community.
The Nasinu Town Council is expected to comment soon.
Meanwhile, the three storey extension at International School Suva is valued at $5.2 million and is expected to be completed in April next year.
