The post mortem of the 24-year-old woman who was found dead in Ra on Sunday morning was conducted yesterday.
Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said the results will not be released and further tests will be conducted to determine whether the victim had consumed the brown liquid that was allegedly given by a man in Tavua on Saturday, and whether it resulted in her death.
Naisoro said the suspect who is alleged to have given the victim the brown liquid for an abortion has been questioned and released.
Meanwhile it was not easy for the villagers of Drauniivi in Ra to believe that 24-year-old Raijeli Laveti has passed away.
Village headman Lekima Dausoko said the young woman who worked in the Pine Industry in Nananu, Ra recently bought a fibreglass boat for her parents which is used for fishing.
Preparations are underway for her funeral on Friday.
