New Zealand Police say they will now carry out a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death of a Fijian woman who was found dead at her South Auckland home yesterday.
Police have launched a murder investigation after the woman was found dead about 1am yesterday.
New Zealand Herald reports the mother of a 3‑year‑old daughter was found dead inside her bedroom by her parents in Manurewa, South Auckland yesterday morning.
She was a childcare worker and recently got divorced.
New Zealand Herald also reports the woman was born in Nasinu and it is understood that her body will be brought to Fiji for a funeral as soon the police release her to her family.
