A possible core group of players that could make the Vodafone Fiji 7s team for the Rio Olympics has been revealed by coach Ben Ryan in an interview with World Rugby.
He said he now has a group of 20 quality players to choose his final 12-man team for the Olympics.
In the interview, Ryan talked about eleven players whom he felt have both grown and played key roles for Fiji in the series.
Jasa Veremalua, Osea Kolinisau, Amenoni Nasilasila, Jerry Tuwai, Josh Tuisova, Savenaca Rawaca, Pio Tuwai, Apisai Domolailai, Aisake Katonibau, Leone Nakarawa and Semi Kunatani.
Ryan said the Olympics will be a competition where there can be upsets.
Fiji, Brazil, New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina, USA, Australia, Kenya, France, Japan and Great Britain have qualified for the Olympics.
The Samoa and Tonga 7s teams are yet to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics 7s competition.
They will fight for a spot in the Final Olympic Qualification Tournament which will be held on the 18th and 19th of next month in Monaco.
