Possibility that there is rat poison present in meth and cocaine circulated is high - Qiliho

Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho says initial indicators are that there is a great possibility that rat poison is present in some of the Methamphetamine and Cocaine that is being circulated.

Qiliho says they will need to further confirm as they need to do more scientific tests in their labs.

He says that this is not a new thing.

Qiliho says it is information that Police are working on and they have questioned people in regards to this but he cannot reveal anything else as it is still early parts of the investigation.

Qiliho is currently on his way to Nadi to get a briefing in regards to the progress made in terms of the clandestine lab being used to make drugs that was discovered in Namaka, Nadi.

He has assured the people of Fiji that the Fiji Police Force is on top of the drugs issue.
